The Hamta Pass is named after the village of Hampta. This trek is used by, shepherds and locals to get to the Lahaul Spiti valley in Himachal Pradesh. This trek is also known as a beginner's trek because it is the easiest of all the trekking trails in Himachal Pradesh. Hamta Pass is a high mountain pass in Himachal Pradesh's Kullu district located in the Pir Panjal Range of the Himalayas. The pass is a popular trekking route that helps connect the Kullu and Lahaul valleys. It is about 40 kilometers (25 miles) from Manali. At 14,000 feet, the Hampta Pass in Himachal Pradesh is one of the uncommon and spectacular pass crossings of the Himalayas. The best time to visit hamta pass is May to June and September to October.\nThe Hampta Pass trek is a great opportunity to witness the majestic Himalayan Mountains. Many buses ply to and from Manali from different parts of the country. The journey by bus is very comfortable and takes around 10-12 hours to reach Manali from Delhi. \nThe other way to reach Manali is by air. The Kullu Manali airport in Buntar is well-connected to all the major cities of India. The flight takes around 2-3 hours to reach Manali from Delhi. \nThe third way to reach Manali is by rail. The nearest railway station to Manali is Joginder Nagar, which is about 100 km away.


Itinerary-

Day 1:
Reporting to Manali's Rumsu Base Camp.

The itinerary's first day is reserved for rest and acclimatization. To arrive at the campsite on time, take a bus from Delhi to Manali by 6 p.m. Take the "Patli-kuhal" exit 20 kilometers before Manali. There are numerous transportation options from Patlikuhal to Rumsu village [11 km]. [Sumo costs 700 INR, while a small car costs 500 INR]\nOnce in Rumsu village, continue on the trail to the Kailashrath Treks campsite.\nMembers will register at Base Camp and then proceed to the Acclimatisation walk. Following the walk, participants will be given Trekking bags, Microspikes (for better traction on slippery snow), Gaiters (to keep snow out of your shoes), and Trekking Sticks.


Day 2:
Drive to Hamta Dam, then hike to Chikka

After breakfast, we will begin the day's trek with a scenic drive from Rumsu to Hamta Dam at 8 a.m. The easy trek to Chikka begins at Hamta Dam. It takes about 2-3 hours to finish. Before arriving at the campsite, there is a forested area of two consecutive wooden bridges. Chikka has massive rocks and a beautiful waterfall and it also provides an amazing riverside camping experience.\nChikka is where you'll spend the night in a tent.


Day 3:
From Chikka to Jwara

After breakfast, we will begin our journey to Jwara. The trek from Chikka to Jwara takes about 4 hours and ascends to an altitude of 11,000 feet. The first part of the trek follows the right bank of the Hamta River, passing a few rock boulders. It takes an hour to walk to the camp after crossing a water stream on the way there.\nStay the night at Jwara Camp.


Day 4:
From Jwara to Hamta Pass, return to Jwara camp.

The journey starts early because we want to cover as much ground as possible. The trek from Jwara to Hamta Pass is a moderate ascent of more than 14,000 feet. The trek is pretty long and begins at 5 a.m. from Jwara. The climb to the summit of the Hamta Pass takes about 4 to 5 hours. The aerial views of Spiti Valley from Hamta Pass are spectacular. To spend the night, we will then return to Jwara camp. The descent is steep, and there is enough snow to side down to the camp.


Day 5:
Depart for Hamta Dam and take a Jeep to the Manali bus station.

We will begin the ascent toward Hamta Dam after breakfast. The descent is simple and follows the same path as the ascent. By 1 pm, we will arrive at the dam and then continue to Manali via jeep. Manali departure at 5 p.m.

If cancellation is made 0-29 days before the start time of the experience, 100 % of the total cost would be charged as cancellation fees.

Any applicable refund will be processed in 7-10 days.

The customer will receive a confirmation voucher through email within 24 hours of successful booking.

In rare cases, if the desired slot by the customer is not available, there will be a choice of other time slots. Alternatively, customers can cancel the booking, after which a full refund will be processed.
