According to legend, Jamlu (the ruling deity at Malana) decided to open a basket containing the Kullu gods at the Chandrakhani Pass, and high winds blew the gods to their current abodes. Chandrakhani pass trek is a moderate-level trek that takes you through some of the most beautiful landscapes in the Himalayas. The trek starts from Manali and takes you through the picturesque valley of Kullu. You will cross the Chandrakhani pass which offers stunning views of the Pir Panjal and Dhauladhar ranges. The trek then descends to the valley of Malana which is home to the ancient village of Malana. The trek ends at Manali from where you can head back to your respective destinations.\n\nHow to reach the location?\nThere are many ways to reach Manali, which is a popular tourist destination in India. \nThe most common mode of transportation to reach Manali is the road. Many buses ply to and from Manali from different parts of the country. The journey by bus is very comfortable and takes around 10-12 hours to reach Manali from Delhi. \nThe other way to reach Manali is by air. The Kullu Manali airport in Buntar is well-connected to all the major cities of India. The flight takes around 2-3 hours to reach Manali from Delhi. \nThe third way to reach Manali is by rail. The nearest railway station to Manali is Joginder Nagar, which is about 100 km away.


Chandrakhani Pass Trek Itinerary-

Day 1:
Report to Rumsu Base Camp and go on an acclimatization walk.

*Report to the Rumsu base camp by 9 a.m.\n*On arrival, freshen up and register.\n*Acclimatization walk to Pulag village after lunch.\n*Then the Orientation, followed by an overnight stay at Rumsu base camp.


Day 2:
Hike to Ghankulhadi (4 hours)

*After breakfast, begin the trek to Ghankulhadi at 8 a.m.\n*The trek route passes through a dense forest full of pine, fir, oak, and chestnut tree, and it takes about 4 hours to reach Ghankulhadi. \n*Stay in tents at Ghankulhadi camp for the night.


Day 3:
Ghankulhadi to Naya Tapru (3 to 4 hours)

*After breakfast, start the trek to Naya Tapru at 8 a.m.\n*The trek to Naya Tapru from Ghankulhadi goes through some deep forest and involves a moderate but short climb. \n*Naya Tapru offers stunning views of the Manali valley with the famous peaks of the Dhauladhar range as its backdrop.\n*Stay in tents at Naya Tapru camp for the night.


Day 4:
Naya Tapru to Chandrakhani Pass, then back to Naya Tapru (8 hrs)

*After breakfast, all trekkers will begin their journey to Chandrakhani Pass with a packed lunch.\n*The trek begins at 6 a.m. and has a moderate ascent. The journey to the Chandrakhani Pass takes about 4 hours. The pass's highest point is 3,660 meters. \n*Dhana Kunnu Pass is located near the Chandrakhani Pass. The entire location is associated with Jamdagini Rishi, one of the seven saptarishi. *We will then begin our descent from Chandrakhani to the Naya Tapru camp. The descent is easy and takes about three hours, with numerous snow slides.\n*Spend the night in tents at the Naya Tapru campsite.


Day 5:
Descend to Rumsu and leave for Patlikuhal (4 hours)

*After breakfast, everyone will begin their descent to Rumsu base camp.\n*The descent follows the same path as the climb and takes about 4 hours.\n*On arrival, freshen up and enjoy a hot meal at Rumsu base camp.\n*Start riding to Patlikuhal with departure at 4 p.m.

If cancellation is made 30 days before the date of experience, 20 % of the total cost would be charged as cancellation fees.

If cancellation is made 0-29 days before the start time of the experience, 100 % of the total cost would be charged as cancellation fees.

Any applicable refund will be processed in 7-10 days.
